ReplayTV is a brand of Digital Video Recorders (DVR), a term synonymous with Personal Video Recorder (PVR). It is a consumer video device which allows users to capture television programming to internal hard disk storage for later viewing (and time shifting). All of which are at end of life since 2006.  

Some of the ReplayTV DVRs come with a JP1 compatible remote controls.  However the contribution does not stop there.  Some of these units also have the capability of control third-party set-top boxes in order to facilitate scheduled recordings.  Many of these upgrades were originally sourced from JP1's Remote Master Device Upgrade (RMDU) files.
