3-in-1 Simple Pocket Universal Remote Control
(15-1926) Operation Faxback Doc. # 52645

For each device you want to operate, press the device key, then point the
3-in-1 at the device and press POWER to turn the device on. then press
the appropriate device key and the desired command keys.

Note: The command keys on the 3-in-1 work the same as the keys on the
original remote control; labeling might differ slightly.

   VOL - /\ and \/
    CH - /\ and \/

     > - (Play)
    [] - (Stop)
    << - (Rewind)
    >> - (Fast Forward)
    || - (Pause)
     o - (Record)

To turn off the last device you selected, press POWER. To turn off other
devices, press the desired device key, then press POWER.

Punch-Through

The punch-through feature lets you control two different devices without
pressing the device keys for each one. Here's how it works.

Not all of the 3-in-1's keys are used by every device. For example, a TV
is often the only device that uses the volume keys. After you press TV,
then press VCR, you can still use the volume control to control the TV.

Last Key
Pressed Punch-Through Keys Available

TV VCR - Play, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind, Record and Pause

VCR TV - Volume /\, Volume \/ and Mute

Cable TV - Volume /\, Volume \/, Mute

VCR - Play, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind, Record and Pause

Notes: The punch-through feature might not work if the last two devices
you selected have the same (or similar) features. For example,
most TVs and some cable converters have channel select keys on
        their remote controls.

In this case, you must press the desired device key before you use
the 3-in-1's CH /\ or CH \/ keys.

Manual Code Search

If the 3-in-1 does not operate your remote controlled devices when you
first set it up, you might have to find the correct code for your devices.
You can try all the codes listed in "Code List" in Faxback Doc. # 52647
for the brand of your device, or you can follow these steps to search the
3-in-1's entire library.

1. Manually turn on the device you want to set up.

2. Hold down SETUP until the indicator lights.

3. Press the corresponding device key on your 3-in-1 (TV, VCR, CBL). The
    red light blinks once.

4. Press POWER to begin Code Search.

5. Repeatedly press CH /\ (Power for TV, VCR, or CBL and Play for VCR)
until the device responds to the command.

Note: If the device does not respond to CH /\ or \/, use PLAY (VCR
           only) or POWER instead.

6. When the device responds to the command, press MUTE to save the code.

Notes: If you accidentally bypass the correct code, repeatedly press CH
\/ to move back through the codes until the device responds to the
        command.

If you do not press MUTE, the 3-in-1 does not save the code.

Code Search starts from the 3-digit number currently stored for
the selected mode. For example, if there are 100 TV codes and the
currently stored TV code is 050, Code Search starts from 051 and
continues to 100, then starts at 000 and finishes at 050. Because
the 3-in-1's library is so large, this can take several minutes.

If your device turns off during the search, but does not operate
after you lock in the code, begin the search again, pausing longer
        between key presses.

If necessary, repeat these steps for each device.

Determining the 3-Digit Code

After you set up your 3-in-1 using manual code search, you can find which
3-digit code the 3-in-1 is set to by following these steps.

1. Hold down SETUP until the indicator lights.

2. Press the device key (TV, VCR, CBL) you want to get the manufacturer's
code for. The indicator blinks once.

3. Press SETUP. The red light blinks once.

4. To search for each digit, press the key which corresponds to that
digit (REW = first, PAUSE = second, FF = third), then count the number
of times the indicator blinks. The number of blinks is the number for
that digit; if the indicator does not blink, the number is zero.
