Your Radio Shack 6-in-1 Remote Control lets you operate almost any
infrared device in your home. The 6-in-1 Remote Control can replace up to
six standard remote controls. Unlike some universal remote controls, the
6-in-1 is pre-programmed and does not have to learn its commands from the
original remote controls. All you have to do is enter the 3-digit code
for each infrared remote control device you want to operate. The 6-in-1
Remote Control is automatically ready to operate most of the same
functions as the original remote controls.

The 6-in-1 Remote Control also has these features:

Powerful Infrared Beam - Lets you operate your remote control devices
from a greater distance than many original
                           remote controls.

Convenient Keypad Design - Means each control key is in the perfect
                           position for easy operation.

Lighted Keypad - Lets you use the 6-in-1 even in a dark or dimly
                           lit room.

Plug 'n Power Functions - Allow you to operate your Plug'n Power modules.

     Toll-Free Upgrading - Call our toll-free Radio Shack 6-in-1 set-up
line at 1-800-950-7044 and we will upgrade your
                           remote control over the phone.

You need four AAA batteries (not supplied) to power your remote control.

This manual includes a list of 3-digit manufacturer's codes for TVs, VCRs,
cable converters, compact disc players, satellites, and other popular
remote controlled devices.

HOW THE 6-in-1 Remote Control, it is helpful to understand a little about
how it works - nothing technical, only an idea of what you can expect from
the 6-in-1 Remote Control and its different groups of keys.

When you set up the 6-in-1 Remote Control, its command keys work like the
keys on your original remote controls. For example, a key labeled POWER
ON/OFF is equivalent to the 6-in-1 Remote Control's PWR key.

Your Radio Shack 6-in-1 Remote Control was designed with the functions
used most often to operate TV, VCR, cable converter, CD player, satellite
receiver, and audio equipment.

                               devices.

Notes: The remote control's red indicator light comes on when you press a
key, and blinks when you have entered a feature or manufacturer's
       code.

Whenever you use RECORD on the remote control, you must press it
twice. This safety feature helps you avoid accidentally erasing
       audio or video tapes.

If you use the 6-in-1 Remote control to replace extremely complex
remote controls, the 6-in-1 might not be able to duplicate some of
your original remote control's seldom-used functions, but it can
duplicate all of the most commonly used functions on the original.
