USING A SCHEDULE

The schedule feature starts remote control functions at preset times.

To use a schedule , press [EDIT/SCHEDULE].  The SCHD indicator, NEXT
EVENT, the name of the next event, and the event's start time appear on
the display for about 60 seconds.

After 60 seconds, the URC returns to the time display but the SCHD
indicator remains on the display to show that the URC is ready to start
the next schedule.  Press [EDIT/SCHEDULE] to check the name of the next
event.  You can use any URC key except [QTR] when a schedule is set.

When the clock reaches the start time of the next event, the event name
appears on the display and the start sequence is sent.

If you specified an event length, the length appears on the display and
the URC counts down in 1-minute increments.  When the display reaches
0:00, the URC activates the end sequence if one was programmed.

If you want to deactivate the next schedule, press [CANCEL].


EDITING A SCHEDULE

Follow these steps to edit a schedule.

1.   Press [LEARN].  Then, press [EDIT/SCHEDULE].  The SCHD indicator
     appears.  If a schedule was programmed, the name and start time of
     the first schedule appear on the display.  If no schedule was
     programmed, SCHED and EMPTY alternately appear.

2.   Press SCROLL [up arrow] or [down arrow] to find the schedule you want
     to edit.

3.   To delete the entire schedule, press and hold down [NO/DELETE] for
     about 2 seconds.

     To delete specific information in the schedule, press
     [EDIT/SCHEDULE].  The first character in the event name flashes.

4.   To leave the name as is, press [STORE].  The start time flashes.
     Skip to Step 5.

     To change the name, enter the new name over the old one.  If
     necessary, press SCROLL [up arrow] or [down arrow] to move to a
     letter you want to correct or erase.  When the letter flashes, enter
     the desired letter or press [NO/DELETE].  After you change the name,
     press [STORE].  The start time flashes.

     NOTE:  An asterisk flashes when you move to a blank letter position.

5.   To leave the start time as is, press [STORE].  The day indicator
     flashes.  Skip to Step 6.

     To change the start time, use the number keys to start the new time,
     press SCROLL [up arrow] or [down arrow] to select a.m. or p.m., and
     press [STORE].  The day indicator flashes.

     NOTE:  If the hour is a single digit, enter a 0 before you enter the
            hour.

6.   To leave the day settingas is, press [STORE] and skip to Step 7.

     To change the day setting, press SCROLL [up arrow] or [down arrow]
     and press [STORE].

7.   If you selected 5 DAY or WK END for the day setting, skip to Step 8.

     If you selected a specific day of the week for the day setting,
     WEEKLY and YES/NO alternately appear.

     If the event is one time only, press [NO/DELETE].  If the event
     occurs every week, press [YES/INSERT].  The name of the first command
     key in the sequence is displayed.

8.   To leave the command sequence as is, press [STORE].  The schedule
     length flashes and ENTER and LENGTH alternately appear on the
     display.  Go to Step 9.

     If you want to change a command in the sequence, press SCROLL
     [up arrow] or [down arrow] to display the command you want to change.

     To replace the command with another command for the same device,
     press new command key.  The new key name appears, followed by the
     next command name in the sequence.  Then press [STORE].

     NOTE:  If you enter the displayed key, you extend the time the URC
            transmits the command.

     To change devices for the displayed command or to replace the command
     with another command for a different device, do the following:

     a.  Press [NO/DELETE] to delete the displayed command.

     b.  If ENTER and KEY do not alternately appear, press [YES/INSERT].

     c.  While ENTER and KEY alternately appear on the display, press
         SELECT [left arrow] or [right arrow] to display the new device
         indicator.  Then, press the new command key for the new device.

     d.  To change other commands in the sequence, repeat Step 8.
         Otherwise, press [STORE].

9.   To leave the schedule length as is, press [STORE] and go to Step 10.

     To change the schedule length, use the number keys.  Then, press
     [STORE].  END and SEQ alternately appear on the display.

     NOTES:

        If the hour of the schedule length is a single digit, enter a zero
        before the hour.  For example, enter [0] [4] [0] [5] for 4:05.

        If you choose not to set a schedule length, skip Step 10.  The
        display shows the schedule name and its start time.  If you do
        this, the URC does not send the end sequence.

10.   To leave the end sequence as is, press [STORE].

      To change the end sequence , press SCROLL [up arrow] or [down arrow]
      to find the command you want to change.

      To replace the command with another command for the same device,
      press the new command key.  The new key name appears, followed by
      the next command name in the sequence.  Then press [STORE].

      To replace the command with a command for a different device, do the
      following:

     a.  Press [NO/DELETE] to delete the displayed command.

     b.  If ENTER and KEY do not alternately appear, press [YES/INSERT].

     c.  While ENTER and KEY alternately appear on the display, press
         SELECT [left arrow] or [right arrow] to display the new device
         indicator.  Then press the new command key for the new device.

     d.  To change other commands in the sequence, repeat Step 10.
         Otherwise, press [STORE].  The schedule name and the start time
         appear on the display for about 60 seconds.  Press [CANCEL] twice
         to return to the time display.
