Looking for code/upgrade for Samsung Plasma PN50A450

4. JP1/UEI Remote model: URC-8811B00
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? yes
6. Still have original remote? yes
7. Checked the file section? yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes TV/2010 and TV/1060
10. Learning remote question? n/a (extender in use)

I have not been able to find any of the codes or upgrade files that seem to match up with my particular Samsung remote (model BN59-00687A) with specials buttons like 'e.mode' and 'tools' and also give me discrete input codes. I'm currently using http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=1717 and it gives me the basic functionality so that I can get by, but without the e.mode button.

I have been out of the JP1 game for a couple of years now .. so hopefully I'll catch on quickly

Temporarily don't load your extender so you can learn the missing codes and add them to your upgrade. That'll get you everything but the discrete inputs.

mdavej is correct.

If you don't have your current extended IR file saved, download it from your remote and save it.

Then de-activate your extender (remove a battery and temporarily push any button) and do a 981 reset.

That will empty your memory and allow you to learn the missing functions.

Decode those in IR and add them to your upgrade.

As for the discretes, do the discretes in the file you linked not work? Or are there simply several more inputs that are not covered by that file?
You may have to embark upon a manual code search (look at the OBCs used in the upgrade, and start by testing unused OBC in the vicinity of similar functions, like all of your input OBCs are bunched around:
132
133
134
136
138

and:
235
236
237

So I would test out other OBCs in the vicinity of those two clusters to try to identify other discrete inputs.

I will try disabling the extender and see if I can learn the missing codes. The only code I really want but don't have is the 'e.mode' (entertainment mode) code but it would be even better if there were discrete codes for the 3 entertainment modes. But I don't have my hopes up for that
