Samsung 5054 and Comcast 1067A

I have the Samsusng 5054 and I would like to program the scrolling feature for burn in into my comcast remote 1067A. Do I need to get the JP1.2 cable and program a macro or is there a simpler way to do it? Since it's embedded in the setup menu I figure it's probably going to be difficult but figured I would ask. Thanks!!
