Denon UEI remotes?

It looks like a couple of years back (2005) some of the mid end - high end Denon receivers (2808ci and higher) started to use a remote made by UEI:

Anyone know if these are JP1/1.x capable? I've been researching a new AV receiver, and just ran into this by accident. Absurdly, if the Denon remote is JP1 capable, this might just sway me (FYI, from a functionality and sound quality perspective, I've been looking at the Yamaha RX-V1800/3800 and Pioneer 94TXH... they're all similarly priced)
