Do you have the JP1 cable, a learning remote, and the original OEM remote for the parasound 1000?

If so, you could put together a device upgrade in less than 5 minutes.

You probably know all this already:

step 1: learn the buttons from the OEM remote to the learning remote.
step 2: upload learning remote to IR.exe
step 3: click the learning tab and see what the signal is all about.
step 4: take the stuff from step 3, stuff it into KM
step 5: take the stuff (device and protocol boxes) from KM, stuff it back into IR.
step 6: download IR into remote and test it.

there are some obvious things I left out.. delete your learned signals after you have written them down and put them into KM.. pick the right rdf file in IR, pick the right remote in KM, etc.

What is your command, my master?

Then your next step is to go to the Yahoo group's files area here and see if someone else has already created an upgrade for your device. If not look for devices from the same manufacturer.

How were you controlling it prior to JP1 then? Unless you really can use "the force" Razz

Without that remote, it may be like winning an all-expenses paid trip .. to baghdad on a malodorous camel with a bad attitude Smile
