could you please upload your IR file to the Diagnosis area in the file section, and then post a link to that file here. That would help us know what's going on. |

You don't have the upgrade file for Syntax TV in that IR file. In the Devices section, there's only one for TV/2010, which is a different setup code, and is not even the one you mentioned in the previous post (it looks like it's for a different model). So setting the TV setup code to 1610 in the General tab won't do anything. |

I think what he is trying to do is use the built in 1610 but I don't believe there is anything in the remote that works correctly with that TV. At least there was none that worked on my 337.
There are however 3 or 4 in the device section of the file area that work especially the RM ones. _________________ Nils

I edited the IR file with the correct setup code 1610, Olevia tv now turns off when I press TV pwr button, vol, etc. Starnge thing is it will only do this when I have powered up the TV manually, not with the original remote that came with the tv. |

First, you should still provide a link to the IR file you uploaded like the others mentioned, so other people can find it easier.
As far as I know, Comcast remotes do not have TV/1610 built in, so just putting in 1610 for the TV device in the "General" tab won't do anything since the remote can't find 1610 in the built database. In the IR file you uploaded, I don't see an upgrade code in the "Devices" tab for TV/1610, only "CBL/1376" (which the remote comes with), and "TV/2010". There should be a "TV/1610" listed in that tab if you copied over from Remote Master to IR the code from the upgrade file you listed previously. |

I have a Comcast remote and an Olevia TV as well, and I got it working up until this point. The power and volume buttons work, but the input (TV/VCR) button does not. I'm fairly new at this. Can someone point me in the right direction to get that button working?
Thanks. |

just make sure in RM that the input toggle is mapped to the button you want it on. |

Cool! It worked!
New problem, though...
With my old tv, i didn't have to press the TV button before adjusting the volume. The remote knew what device to use for the volume. Now, I have to hit the TV or Cable buttons before controlling that device. Any suggestions for this, or do I just have to deal with it? |

Sounds like for some reason the volume lock got turned off. Check the manual for instructions on how to change that. |
