Hi guys!

I have a very specific thing... Its a actuator positioner (which rotates sat dish). The model is Strong SRT P24. The remote has just 24 numeric keys with positions. Any ideas how to make it wise to use in my Radioshack 15-2138?

The photo of the original remote:

Thanks!

I strongly suggest using the template, for although many can figure out that the 2138 is a learning JP1 remote, we cannot figure out whether you have a JP1 interface cable and can talk to the remote with your computer.

If you can, then it's a simple matter of learning the commands and decoding them in IR and building your own upgrade.

Sure, sorry for that.

1. Device: Strong SRT P24
2. Type of device: sat actuator positioner
3. Year: ~1997
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: RS 15-2138
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? No. Have modem in remote and IRtoWAV.
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? No
10. Learning remote question? n/a

The question is how to make 24 numeric keys. Maybe 3 screen layouts?

I don't think Nils ever finished the extender for this remote, so that kind of leaves out x_shift. If I wanted 24 buttons with an exended remote, I'd probably put 11-20 on shifted versions of the buttons, 21-4 on x_shifted versions of the buttons.
