hi all,
I would like to create a skin for my SlingPlayer so the remote looks like the Dreambox receiver. Right now i can control the slingbox thru a file i got from this forum.

I found MAPIt and i can change the image that follows with the sslingplayer Layout in Remote Master then i can change some of the mapping but how do they fit to the skin i would make for SlingPlayer. I just can't see the connection here. Can somebody shed some light on this ?

There isn't a connection, the map used in RM is designed to "replicate" the skin used in Slingplayer. The people over here just know how to create the Slingbox bin files, we don't know how to use the Slingplayer software, so your best bet is to ask this question in the Sling Community Forums.

Also, the major problem with Sling is that they keep chaning how the software works, so no sooner does someone figure out how to do something, but the process changes.

Yes i know that this might not be the place to ask this but what i don't understand is how RemoteMaster knows what buttons i have on my skin in the slingPlayer`??

It doesn't, so you will need to do a bit of trial and error. If you're using a custom skin on the Sling side, you'll need to figure out what the corresponding button is on the RM side.

An example...

You can see what I did for Panasonic DVR as an example...
it was a lot of work... but it looks right... and is intuitive for my wife...
