I picked up a couple of UEI remotes for 50 cents each. The lables in the battery compartments are;

Remote 1;

URC-1055BC0
C054801

Remote 2;

1055WC0-XXX-0001-001
C055105

They're for 5 devices, with a round section near the front that bulges out on the sides.

Other than the battery compartment lables, they're identical.

Do they have a JP1 connector?
What do they look like? Photos?
Are they labelled for an OEM company?

Rob:
The 1055 is an "Atlas" remote. The one I sent you is a 1055WCD.

Looking at the number of recent posts on these remotes, I think a lot of them (particularly the older JP1.2 models) have just been discontinued and surplussed by the cable cos. The remote family does have a lot of possibilities if all the model vartiants can be sorted out and made programmable by JP1.x.
As an aside, I think my daughter in Houston (Time Warner/SA8400) has one of the JPI.3 learning ones. I will be there next weekend and will check it out. I will try to remember to take my cable!

Note the numbering scheme for the Atlas line.

They look like the one labled Atlas DVR (day) 1055, with the rocker button labled DAY.

(That site is using the same full picture as the DVR-1054 for the 1055.)

They're CableONE OEM remotes.

Yes, of course they have the JP1 connectors. Think I woulda bought them if they didn't? ;P I'm hoping they'll be more amenable to programming for a 37" Magnavox HDTV and an RCA HDMI upconverting DVD player than the Millennium 4 I have. (A $3 thrift store find.)

I just wish there was an extender for the PVR 5 (day). Then I'd jump on one on eBay in a heartbeat.

Picture on the site has two DIFFERENT pictures for the 1054 & 1055. 1055 has a rocker for "day+" & "day-", 1054 has a single button labelled "SETTINGS", no "day" buttons. (This is the menu function on the DVRs).

Nah. bizzybody is right. When you roll-over, the CLOSE-UP shows the day rocker button, but if you look at the basic pics (non-rollover closeup), they are identical. Apparently they were too lazy to post a separate pic for the (day) version of the remote.

Now has anybody seen a 1056 in real life yet? I think I would like IT best of all!

I was referring to the rollovers. Basic photos are identical (1055 wrong one) as you observe.....

Has ANYONE succcessfully programmed a 1055 using JP1.x? If so please post which rdf you used. I can't make it work nohow!

It is still on my "to do" list. I intend to create an upgrade for one of my devices, probably ReplayTV, then load it into the remote and try it out. If I have the same problems as previous posted about buttons being scrambled, I'll investigate further and (hopefully) fix the RDF.

So it looks like I wait for this remote to be fully debugged before I should try reprogramming it?

Perhaps not using JP1, but there is no reason you cannot try to programme it directly from the keypad for macros and keymoves.
