I download a file to update the code to this unit but it is in txt.file what I have to do to convert the txt file to run into the unit

This forum is for updating remotes manufactured by UEIC, usually marketed under the "One for All" brand name, but also used by other companies (like Radio Shack, RCA and Sky) and by some cable providers, so to use any of the data here, or for MOST of the folks here to be able to help you, we need to know what remote you are trying to program, yet you omitted that key piece of information.

If it is a random universal remote, it is unlikely to benefit from the capabilities and knowledge resident here, but we won't be able to tell you until we know what that remote is.
