|
|
1. Device: RCA STAV-3990 (I Believe It's a Rebadged Pioneer VSX-D711)
2. Type of device: Audio Receiver
3. Year: 2001
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: RS 15-2116
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes (1023)
10. Learning remote question? Yes
I want to add two keys to receiver Code Speaker A/B/Off and DVD/LD The rest of the code works fine for what I use it for. I know the newest version of IR lets you add learned codes but I don't know how to convert the OBC to the raw data in needs so I need help with that Thanks |

Why do you want a learned signal rather than a keymove?
There is no software to convert to raw data. Some of us know how to do so manually, but it would be a rather tedious task. You would need a good reason.
Probably you're better off using keymoves. |

Go into the keymove page in IR
Select the key you want to bind to
Select the audio reciever to the 1023
enter the hex code. |

I tried it and It does not work but other functions do I guess thats why it was not on the original remote and my receiver is not remote controllable of those functions oh well |

I had a VSX-D710 before it was stolen but I can pretty much assure you that the DVD/LD input selection remote function does work (I'm pretty sure that the 710 and 711 are REALLY similar).
Where did you get the hex codes? THIS FILE has DVD input as $A1 $80.
As for the Speaker select, I didn't have it, and OBC 86 alone is kind of meaningless, since it appears MANY times in AUD/1013, since there are several two-part signals in Pioneer Audio that START with OBC 86 and have a second byte, and there are several 1-byte commands that use different device numbers, so the FIRST byte is $6A, but the second byte may be something different.
Or you can just load that entire upgrade and give it a try. _________________ Beginners - Read this thread first

It's usually a bad idea to post screen shots from IR.exe. If you want us to see something in your .ir file, upload the .ir file to the diagnosis area and post its url in a message.
Your Audio 4 signal is a bad learn of a Pioneer signal OBC 133. It didn't decode correctly, because it isn't all there. But the the whole OBC number was there, so I can see what signal it would be. Try learning it again. |
