Ok, I've downloaded the java version of remote master
I have the RDF directory ok
I have the image maps, etc ok
I have my remote hex codes aok, even the protocol.
In RM I cannot select or find the Slingbox EU with JU chip or anything
in the remote selection field.
I have read all the articles, all the beginner stuff, and now have a huge
black bump on my forehead.
Call me stupid, tell me I didn't read the beginner stuff, slap me in the head
What am I missing??
Ok, I am brain dead, what is wrong with my RM??

Check that you have the Slingbox RDFs in the RDF directory. If you downloaded and unzipped the RDF zip file, you should have them.

I fixed that in version 1.26 but still worth checking. Also, not all of the Slingbox RDF's were in versions prior to 1.26johnsfine wrote:Is the .zip file containing the .rdf files still wrong? It used to unzip the slingbox rdf files to one directory level higher than the rest, so you need to move the slingbox rdf files in with the others.
Thank you guys
Ok, Johnsfine is correct.
Unzipping the lastest version puts the unzipped RDF's one folder higher
than where you tell PKUNZIP to put them.
My RM had its RDF routed one directory lower

You may not have the latest RDF's. 1.26 will not put the slingbox RDF's in a different folder than the other RDF's.
Also, if you select "use folders" PKUNZIP will always put the files in the folder called RDF below the folder you point to. In other words if you select a folder called c:\jp1 it will create a folder called rdf under it which would be c:\jp1\rdf.
