RCA Home Theatre System RT2380BK

Post by blakepro »

Code:
1. Device: RCA Home Theatre System RT2380BK (The BK at the end just stands for Black)
2. Type of device: Surround Sound System
3. Year: I looked all over the unit and could not find a year. It is at least 3 years old
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: Millenium 4 B01 version
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes, the UBS version 2
6. Still have original remote? Yes and its marked with RCR311AB1B
7. Checked the file section? Yes, But I'm new at this. I could have missed it.
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes, But I'm new at this. I could have missed it.

9. Partially working setup code? I have tried several "audio" codes and Upgrades, but I have not gotten anything to work. (Tried the RCA_RT2300_Receiver_URC-8910 and RCA_Home_Theater_1609_Upgrade) It seems like maybe I'm doing those upgrades wrong though... there are so many options in those upgrades I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.

10. Learning remote question? I wish I had one or this would be super easy.

Any help would be great guys. I have gotten ALL of my devices using this awesome JP1 stuff except for my audio, and thats the device I wanted the most! Even if I can just get a power code and volume up/volume down, I would be satesfied. (Although getting more buttons would always be great!)

This is the device I am talking about:

Try the RCA Receivers Master File (KM) file which appears to be for the RT2300 and RT2500 series.

Make sure to change the selected remote after you open it. I'd also suggest changing the Device Type to Cable to give you a larger set of default buttons. For the Millennium, you'll also need to copy the protocol upgrade over to IR.
