Keymap-Master V9.06 Cant save files

Post by oncewaslost »

For some reason, I can load and modify, but can't save any files.

I click save, I can name the file, it goes through the motions like it saves the file, but the file is not saved. I also noticed that in the lower left corner the status message continues to say "Saving Device Upgrade File".

I was using V9.01 Ok on this computer before, but I recently dumped Win2K and went to XP. Then I had this problem with V9.01 so I went to V9.06 but no luck. I am using Excel 2000.

THANKS!

Does your WinXP user account have admin rights?

Are you getting any error messages from KM or Windows?

Are you saving to a folder under My Documents or someplace else?

Yes, I am logged on as the administrator (the only account on this machine).

No error messages at all,

I do not use "My Documents". I save to a directory I have named "data". I also tried saving to the desktop. I can browse to where I want to save the file, it acts like it does it. I even "searched for files" and the file is not being saved.

Thanks

One of my XP computers has Virtual PC to boot Win2K . So I installed Excel 2000 and tried. Everything works ok. So I guess it is something with XP and Excel 2000 combination?
