1. Device: Samsung HL-5678
2. Type of device: DLP HDTV
3. Year: 2005
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: 6131, 6960
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? yes, several
6. Still have original remote? yes
7. Checked the file section? yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? no
9. Partially working setup code? don't know
10. Learning remote question? no
A couple of questions for those who might have this or othr Samsung DLP's
1: I am looking for a discrete to select the antenna input. I've downloaded the other Samsung DLP upgrades and can find a discrete for nearly ever other input (HDMI, AV, S-Video, etc) but not one that selects the antenna input. There are probably 100+ unsued OBC codes and I'm slowly going through them to see if I can find it but thought I'd ask.
2: The set is extremely slow at responding to codes to set the input, for example, one of my thoughts on the Antenna was to use a macro to set it to PC input (the last in the toggle list) and then toggle the input to get to antenna but the set won't respond to the toggle until the PC input has completely completed. It also won't respond to any input select after power-on until the picture has come on, quite a while after power. I'm having trouble timing macros in this situation. How have others with Samsung DLP's dealt with this?

I have those timing problems on all of my equipment. If the macro is short enough I use Vol+, Vol-, as many times as needed for the delay.
I also use this trick, that I copied from a thread, if I need a longer delay.
The Robman posted:
Try this...
1) Assign setup code VCR/0037 to the VCR button.
2) Keymove copy the RECORD button from VCR mode to TV mode
3) Try using the TV/RECORD button as a delay in your macros
Here's how you do step 2:
1) press and hold SETUP, 2 flashes
2) Type 994, 2 flashes
3) Press VCR, RECORD, TV, RECORD, 2 flashes
You may have to use a little different technique to program your remotes.
