JP1.1 Cable Questions

I have about four of the Comcast remotes that have JP1.1. I'd love to use them, and it seems like JP1.x is supported these days. However, I can only find JP1.2 cables. Any idea where I can find a JP1.1 or JP1.x cable? I did find this cable, but its a bit confusing if its JP1.x or JP1.2. Also, it mentions problems with IR7.0 beta2, I see the latest version is IR7.0 beta3, any idea if whatever those problems were are now fixed?

I believe that most of the cables currently sold as "JP1.2" are really "JP1.x" cables, but you should check with the seller first, just to be sure.

Thanks, is that the case for the cable you sell?

I knew that question was coming next! :D I think so, but the truth is, I would need to check as I don't make the cables myself. Let me dig out a JP1.1 remote and try it and report back. But just as a reminder, I don't sell cables by themselves, I just sell them with remotes.

I had forgotten about that, but I could probably use some more remotes.

Actually, I just thought about it, I can't think of any more remotes I need at the moment, but I also can't find any JP1.x cables or JP1.2 cables. The one at DIY Gadget says its pure JP1.2.

I just verified that the serial cables that I have are JP1.x cables. The guy who makes them intends to set up his own web site soon to sell them himself, so we should have another vendor in the group, which will be nice.

However, in the meantime, seeing as how you seem to be in a bind, I will make an exception and let you have one of the cables if you like.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. It should be $24 with shipping right?

If you want it to go via Priority then yes it's $4, but I can probably ship it for $2 via 1st Class if you prefer.
