Hi,

I'm creating a new device for my TV as it's a rebranded cheap LCD (Compacks) so there are no codes for it.

I have learned each of the buttons into my URC-8910, downloaded into IR and am about to create a new device file in RM, as per Rob's intro document.

However, when i've done to create it, I realised that the data is not showing in IR as it does in the guide.

2 of the buttons have protocol NEC, Device: 32 and no sub-device.

One has JVC{2}, device 23 and no sub-device.

And all the rest have a frequency and "Sent once when a key is pressed".

How do I get these functions into RM?

Thanks

Ian

Hi,

Sorry, should have checked before posting - those learns dont even work when I test with the TV.

I just tried re-learning power and it works on the TV and comes through as per the guide.

Oh well, starting again!

Hi,

I seem to be getting the same thing again - anyone got any ideas why they are not learning correctly or any advice on the best way to do it?

Thanks

Whatever works for you is what works, of course.

I would imagine that the distance is likely less of an issue than other possible factors, like battery strength (are both sending and receiving remotes' batteries fresh?) and or how steady you are holding the remotes during learning (are you placing them on a flat surface head-to-head?), and precise sequencing of your button presses (like ensure the 8910 button TO which you are learning is pressed and released BEFORE you start pressing the OEM remote button FROM which you are learning)
