Panasonic SA-XR55

Post by starmanj »

This is a popular receiver on AVSforum. However, there are now 8 inputs (pannys used to have only 6) and one is a digital input. I'm looking for all 8 input codes (in particular TV/STB input which has changed).
1. Device: Panasonic SA-XR55
2. Type of device: Tuner/Receiver
3. Year: 2006
4. UEI Remote model: URC 6131
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes, as well as decoded all known CCF files at remote central
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes, all but inputs
10. Learning remote question? My 6131 is a Robman, but non-learning

PS, I couldn't get discrete power on/off to work until I increased duration from 0 to 1 in keymaster!

Never mind. I dug out my old RS 15-2117 and learned the TV/STB code, then dumped that into ir.exe.

For anyone who needs it, the code for TV/STB is:
protocol device sub-d OBC Hex EFC
pan 160 0 156 C6 252

(you really only need the OBC for input into keymaster)

In case still needed - digital possiblities to try
Digital/analog toggle
Dev160, sub 0, obc 168
Dev160, sub 18, obc 168

Digital inputs 1,2,3
Dev160, sub 18, obc 138,139,140

What does STB stand for? Is your TV/STB a toggle between the two modes?

Thanks-
The new receiver has 4 digital inputs (that's I think what my problem was, the others only have 3).

The 4th digital input is TV/STB (Set Top Box).

Now I'm trying to find discrete power codes for Philips DVDs-- can't find ANY for their low-end HDMI players.
