1. Device: manhattan starlight 5900 plus
2. Type of device: satellite decoder(pvr)
3. Year: 2003
4. JP1 Remote model: URC9960
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? No will built one if i have the codes. It much better if i have the wav file upgrade
6. Still have original remote? No
7. Checked the file section? yes
8. Checked the Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes, its has a manhattan starlight 6900 having the same remote function. But its a pcf file for pronto NG. Link to the file

If you have the codes, you can make a wav file upgrade just as easily as loading it via the JP1 cable (well, I still prefer the cable but you CAN create the .wav file), so if you HAVE the codes, you won't need a JP1 cable.
That said, I know of no tools to convert a Pronto pcf file into JP1-friendly data. Pronto ccf files are another matter. I would guess your most likely scenario is to hope someone reading this thread has a pcf-using Pronto AND a JP1 learning remote, and is willing to load the pcf file into his/her Pronto and learn and decode the codes for you on his/her JP1 remote.

I answered this question (at least the basics of the answer) in another forum:

The protocol is NEC1, device 128, subdevice 128.
I didn't take the time to transcribe (with ProntoEditNG and IrTool) all the OBC number and function name pairs. From that list a JP1 upgrade would be easy.
