2. Type of device:5 disc DVD home theater system
3. Year:2004
4. JP1 Remote model:urc 6131 2k
5. JP1 user?yes
6. Still have original remote?yes
7. Checked the file section?yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)?yes
9. Partially working setup code?AUD/0074 from the all for one site, can turn on power and control volume.
Also DVD/2003 controls basic DVD functions
10. Learning remote question?n/a

I would like to be able to switch between the discs (1-5) and also control the surround speakers--but controlling the discs 1-5 would suffice. It would be nice to switch between DVD, VCR and AM/FM functions-but I'm having trouble finding any code that will do that. I have tried the JVC TH-A5R code to no avail. Any advice would be welcome, thank you 8)

I don't know what DVD/2003 is. It does not appear to be a standard UEI code (At least, it does not appear in the Devices.xls spreadsheet). If it is from an upgrade, provide a link please. In the worst case, having this upgrade operate a few functions, ought to give you a Protocol:Device combination from which to conduct a code search for the other functions.

Have you tried any of the JVC DVD player or changer upgrades from the file section? There is a JVC 7-disc changer upgrade there in the DVD section. Almost all of them use JVC:239 Protocol:Device (The Audio portion (Audio/0074) uses the standard JVC:163).

As a simple test, try DVD/0558 or DVD/0623 to see if they operate any functions (these are both built-in setup codes in the 6131 that use JVC:239)

Thanx for the info, This is the link to the DVD/2003 upgrade:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... ile_id=219

The DVD/0623 pretty much does the same as the DVD/2003, except with the 2003 code i have access to the on screen menu items.

Let me look into the 7 disc changer code and I will let you know what happens--thanx

OK, I tried the 7 disc changer code, all worked well except the disc change function still didn't work, back to the drawing board
