Magnavox TV - need additional codes

The TVs in our vacation unit are all identical Magnavox models that mostly respond to TV/0054. However, the channel id is permanently visible on one of the sets and I haven't found a way to get rid of it.

While searching for codes, I've found one additional code that brings up a menu screen, but I can't find any arrow button codes to navigate the menu.

The supplied remote has 20 buttons.

Power, numbers, ch+/- and volume all match TV/0054 (RC5 dev 0)

The additional buttons on the remote are:

OBC Function
15 CC
34 A/CH (prev ch)
38 SLEEP (and 46, 59)
62 CH GUIDE

Additional functions:
30 MENU
61 Discrete Off
63 Discrete On

I've tried all the other codes from RC-5 dev 0 and 3 but can't find the arrow buttons.

Does anybody recognize this code set and have any idea what the codes for the arrow buttons might be?

Sorry, I can't think of anything you haven't already mentioned. I would expect either the V+, V- or CH+, CH- keys to navigate the menu. But you must have tried that.

Haven't you better things to do on vacation?

I guess this is another good reason I shouldn't buy a laptop computer.

My original motivation was just to find the DISPLAY button, but once I found the secret MENU code, the JP1 nerd in me wanted to find the arrow buttons! Smile

By the way, the on screen menu has the following options...

TIME LIM
CH GUIDE
LANGUAGE

Based on similar features in other Magnavox devices, I don't think there is a DISPLAY button (to turn on/off that annoying constant channel indicator). I think it is controlled only from somewhere in the menu system. I just don't know what more to suggest for navigating it.

But, I should have mentioned a similar problem I ran into in a different Magnavox product long ago. The only way I found to get rid of a display feature was to unplug the device for a minute then plug it back it. That put you into the language select and basic setup dialog of the device (that was also hard to figure out navigation) which included configurations options you couldn't get to from the menu.
