Post by vdubuclet »

1. Device: Panasonic SA-XR57
2. Type of device: audio receiver
3. Year: 2006 (?)
4. JP1 Remote model: URC 8811 with 6012 EXTENDER
5. JP1 user? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes, see below
8. Checked the Pronto file section (at R/C)? No
9. Partially working setup code? Yes RCVR 1518 vol+, vol and mute only works
10. Learning remote question? (n/a or explanation)
I learned the device keys for the digital inputs. Below is the one for the TV input

protocol=Panasonic
device=160
subdevice 0
OBC 163
Hexcmd 3A
EFC 227
This matched the device codes for the SA in the master file so I created the KM file attached to this post. It didn’t work, file is located here

The file is for RM, not KM.

There are several SA-XR upgrades for RM http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... y&cat_id=9.
Try them. Review the SA-XR25 - it has a large assortment of functions.

You need to include the subdevice in your Panasonic Combo upgrade. The typical ones are 0, 4, 20, 18... Zero for all the functions just won't work.

How did you arrive at some duplicate codes, such as OBC 62 for both DiscreteON and level? In the Panasonic Audio-Master file is a sheet called FunctionsByDevSub which might help you some.

When you get this upgrade built, will you please put it into the file section?

Everything Liz wrote is correct. More specifically, YOUR RM upgrade does not even include the single function whose learned info you provide. There is no funciotn using OBC 163.

Either you posted the wrong file, or you aren't using RM correctly. If all of the functions REALLY use the same subdevice code then you don't need th Panasoniv Combo protocol. You should use the regular Panasonic Protocol. It'll save you from requiring a protocol upgrade. Also, you have multiple functions using the same OBC. This would only be likley if you used DIFFERENT subdevices for each of those.

If you still can't sort it out, upload the IR file with your learned signals and post a link to it.
