1. Device: XBox
2. Type of device: Game console/DVD
3. Year: 2004
4. JP1 Remote model: Dreambox URC-39730 B02 (sig "OUKAOUK1")
5. JP1 user? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes, Xbox-clone. Boquet+/Boquet- corresponds to skip fwd/rwd.
10. Learning remote question? Yes, I bought an Xbox RC knock off which is learning. Although I don't think it's UEI. I opened it up and found a six pad assemblage however it could hardly be a JP1 connector. So the learning remote just doesn't do any good.

Which remote is that, I've never heard of it. Is this your only JP1 remote?

Are those the only buttons that do anything?

This question is only relevant if you have a JP1 learning remote, which you don't.

My apologies. After further testing I found that in addition the numeric keys also work. So for basic functionality, all that I'm missing are the arrow keys plus OK.

Then check the upgrade to see if there are obvious gaps in the OBC sequence. If there are, try those to see if they are the arrow buttons.

Hello again.

I have now tested a series of OBCs, namely 1-16, 23-32, 40-64, 39-128, 139-150. In other words all those with in the range 1-150 not already covered in the upgrade file. I added new functions with a new OBC, then in the buttons tab (of RM) I assigned those to buttons and finally copy/pasted the upgrade code to IR. I hope that is the correct procedure. The results were puzzling to me. Testing OBCs in chunks of ~30 I often got the same function out of more than one button, and then after pushing a button on the original remote I'd get another or no function from the same buttons.
