You could start with some of the ideas here. http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=51710#51710

Copy the files from http://www.punknet.org/sling/ to C:\Program Files\Sling Media\SlingPlayer\SBAV then try to configre "Other" remote code: C2000 for your remote settings.

Where do you live? Curious which provider you have the RG2200 from...

Hi,

I seriously need some help. I have a Motorola RG2200 and recent bought a slingbox. I cannot figure out how enter the remote code in the set-up. Does anyone know the remote code? I really need some step-by-step instructions for someone who doesn't know much about these things. The replies already posted for this receiver don't make sense to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I have the Sling classic, so I don't know if these instructions change for the newer models.

1. Copy the files from http://www.punknet.org/sling/ to C:\Program Files\Sling Media\SlingPlayer\SBAV

2. Try to configre "Other" remote code: C2000 for your remote settings.

Hi there,

Thanks your reply Smile

I tried to copy those files but when I click on the one called C2000_PL.bin but it just takes me to an error page (I think) -- nothing comes up to save just a page with characters. Same for the Parental Guidance file. I could only save the C2000_JU file - is that all I need?

BTW - I live in Toronto Canada and subscribe through Bell.

Thanks so much!

Hi,

Maybe I am doing something wrong. When you go to that punknet link, what happens when you click on the C2000.PL link. Does it allow you to download something?

Thanks,
Sarah

Sorry to butt in - but how about:

Right click the links - Save link as...

???

Oh, and:

That would be the link that says - "Parent Directory" Laughing
It's not a link to any kind of file, just a default server link thingy...

That link isn't important -it doesn't go anywhere you can go - nor does it matter - you just need the JU and PL (.bin) files. Laughing

Thanks, I put the two bin files into the SBAV directory, then used "Motorola" as the make of cable box, then selected "Other" for model. I tried all 12 remote codes with no luck. Then used Custom and put in c2000 with the result "remote code not valid - please try another code."

any other ideas?

Can you verify your IR blaster version in the Slingbox Properties dialog.

1=JU
2=PL
3=PK
4=RV
5=PL (Slingbox Pro-HD)

If you have version 3 or 4, you'll need a different BIN file.

I checked, and it shows IR Blaster Version 2. I am going to check with my cable provider and see about getting a newer model stb. Might be the easiest fix.

It's possible that the Slingbox is case sensitive, so try entering the code as C2000 (with a capital C).
