Toshiba HD-A1 HD-DVD - upgrade available

These codes were created for the Toshiba HD-A1 HD-DVD player.

All original functions of OEM remote are included, including
some extra functions not on the original remote.

Following functions *not* included on the OEM have been added:

discrete on (discrete off not available)
tray lock/unlock
factory reset
display time
display firmware ver

Just FYI, this also works with the RCA HD DVD player as well!

That's great to hear. I think it works for all the HD-DVD players out there because they are all made by Toshiba right now.

One other note, I added the discrete off from the RS232 code list posted on remote central however it was confirmed *not* to work on both original and current 1.4 firmware for both IR and RS232. Looks like you need to bug Toshiba to get it fixed and use toadtogs to simulate discrete on/off for now (discrete on does work properly)

The RS232 codes are basically the hex equivalent of the OBCs.
