Toshiba D-VR4X DVD/VCR Combo

Post by pkissack »

1. Device: Toshiba D-VR4X
2. Type of device: DVD/VCR Combo
3. Year: 2006
4. JP1 Remote model: OFA 8811
5. JP1 user? yes
6. Still have original remote? yes
7. Checked the file section? yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? no
9. Partially working setup code? no
10. Learning remote question?
Does anyone have a KeyMaster file for this DVD/VCR player? I have tried codes 0503 and I have loaded 1503 to the remote but nothing will control my device.

Thanks,

The 8811 is a nice learner. If 0503 or the upgrade 1503 don't do anything for it to build on. Why not just use the learning remote to learn the oem remote? Then build an upgrade with the functions.

With a combo device such as this it's sometimes easier to treat it as two separate devices unless you're short of device buttons on your remote.

Regardless of files you may find that partially work your component more or less, your BEST course of action is to simply learn and decode the functions from your OEM remote and build your own upgrade.

In the time you waste/devote to the search, you can pretty easily do that and be on your way.
