Hi,
I have in the past successfully created a new device code with keymap-master using device combiner. But I do know that I have typically had problems with the fixed data hex field, and I think it's doing it to me again.

_All_ that I am trying to do have a device code that runs ReplayTV (614) and have the volume control the sony TV (0000). This is on a OFA URC-6800B00 remote.

So I used replaytv 614 as a base. I added sony 0000 and mapped the keys just as in the 614 protocol, except for the volume keys.

I can't deteremine the fixed data value that I need to use. I have tried every single combination that devices.xls and devices4.xls give me and when I choose that device, ONLY the sony volume controls work.

can someone please help me get on the right track here, I can't figure out what I'm overlooking.

I put the KM txt file here:

Best Regards

Sounds like all you are trying to achieve is VPT (volume punch through). You shouldn't need to use device combiner to do that.

On the General tab in IR, in the "Other Settings", set the "VPT Device" to TV and the "VPT Status" to On

If VPT isn't working because you've assigned a setup code with a different device type, all you need is to create 3 keymove in IR onto the Vol+, Vol-, and Mute keys, using the information at http://www.hifi-remote.com/cgi-bin2/ueic.cgi?TV_0000

heh heh, I can't believe I forgot that!
I worked myself into this hole of having to use KM and lost sight of where I was!

Many many thanks.

BTW, I had to create the keymoves because I assigned it on the CD device type.
