XBox 360: Hopefully an easy question for the experts...

A little background:

I am using a URC-9910 and have programmed it using JP1.
I am using an extender and I can't use the learning function.

So I have reset my remote to factory settings to use the learning function and learned the functions from the Xbox 360 remote.

Now, how can i get the below learned information into my remote while it is using the extender?

I learned the dvd 1618 commands from the xbox 360 remote and then pasted the info into my regular IR file (the one attached here). But, within this IR file the xbox 360 commands don't work

From looking closser at the extended ir file it seems to be there but as 1617 instead of 1618


Now in that one it is 1618

That is still not the learned one though.

Vcr 1617 and dvd 1618 is still the same. Does it work the xbox360?

If not you will need to put up the ir file with the learned functions in it. Hope you saved it. If not you may want to go back to mfg reset and learn a few again. If you are sure the codes you posted are right. If not then learn them all again and post that ir file. The one with the learned functions in it not the one that doesnt work.

Another question Does the remote work the xb right after the learn? Before you go back to extended.

Yes, the remote does work the xbox before going back to the extend.

Just to be clear, here is how got the "learned" IR:

I reset my remote to factory settings and then "learned" all of the xbox remote functions to my remote under the DVD device. I then used IR to upload the settings to IR. I then copied the DVD device info and went back to the extend IR and created a new DVD device (1618) and pasted the information.

You said that you wanted to see the learned IR, it is the one that I had already uploaded called Xbox 360

I was trying not to complicate things (even further...) but my satelitte receiver was originally using the 1618 dvd code (whats the chances?) and on the last version of the extended IR that I uploaded you will see that I chaged the SAT to use VCR 1617.

That first one is not the one with the learned signals. It has no learned area. The one needed is the one with all the signals in the learned area.

I don't know where to go from here then because I just tried uploading that xbox 360 IR file again to my remote and after I do it controls the xbox fine. I just don't know how to get what I need from that file to my extend IR file.

Save that ir file here in the diagnostic area. The one with learned area full of the xbox360 codes.

That is where the problem is, it is saved already, the one called xbox 360. I guess that I don't understand why nothing is showing up under the learned tab because when i upload this IR file to my remote it controls the xbox fine with the commands that I learned from the xbox remote.

Ok, I think I figured out the problem. I had to use a fresh installed IR program to not use the extender. Now, i can show you a IR file with the learned tab. Will it help just to see a couple of the learned codes or do you need to see all of the learned codes that I want to use?

The only thing I can think of is you uploaded the wrong one. Other then what you are loading from your computer.

All 3 you uploaded are extended. The first one looks like a failed attempt at extending. The other 2 are extended but both codes for the dtv.

Get the remote working the 360. Which will be the one that is learned.

Save that ir file to your computer as 360_test.

Then upload it.
