Removing RF Puck from 9910

I have two 9910 remotes and want to remove the RF puck from one of them. I obviously want to do this without affecting the operation of the remote other than to disable the RF ability. Anyone know how to do this?
Thanks
Kevin

There are 4 pins that connect the puck to the PCB, you would need to de-solder these. There's also 1 or 2 plastic poles that support the puck. These are sometimes hot-glued to the PCB, so you would need to un-glue these poles.
What do you intend to do with the puck once it's removed?

Do you actually want to remove the puck (for use elesewhere??) or just disable its RF output? If the latter then you can surely disable it in situ.

I really just want the output disabled, but removing the puck altogether would be fine. I have no plans for using it once removed.
Thanks
