I am using a Entone Kamai STB. I capture the signal through IR Widget. How can I import to the remote master and produce a custom slingbox binary?

My ICT file is uploaded to

Yep, you don't need a protocol decode, those are decoded.

If you have downloaded
Remotemaster
RDFs
Maps and Images

You can take the information and fill in the blanks on Remotemaster
Select your remote "Slingbox RV" or "Slingbox PL"
Select the protocol "Replay TV"
Fill in the Device 230
Fil in the Unit Code "4"

on the functions tab
and then fill in the functions names and obcs .

on the buttons tab
assign the functions to buttons

and then from the menu, export to bin.

Then PLEASE upload your RDMU file to the upgrade area here.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

I moved the thread from Protocol Decodes over to the Slingbox forum. I also copied the ICT file over here for safe keeping:

Vicky's instructions should be enough, but if you are stuck, the full instructions are on the wiki page.

Probably repeating keys are sent by the slingbox to the box(i.e. you press 7 and 77 appears on the box).

Ken, try the different Replay options. One of them may not repeat.

If all of them cause the buttons to repeat, we can write some custom codes to cut down the repeat rate.

Yes. That's what I saw.

I've tried replay (official) and replay (advance), both get repeat key. I've also tried the reply (simple), but the box does not respond to it

They all generate the same signals Vicky, so if one repeats, they all will. Sounds like he needs a custom non-repeating version of the Replay protocol.

Yes although Ken does state that the simple didn't work at all, which is puzzling since they pretty much all look identical, except the frequency is a itty bitty teeny weeny bit lower.

I hope that was just user error, because here is a non-repeating version.

Ken,

1) change the remote to your Slingbox.
2) Assign the buttons the way you want them.
3) Create your bin.

Thanks everyone.

Unfortunately, I still got the repeat key problem using bin file generated for slingbox remote using the latest non-repeat key rmdu vicky provided yesterday. Also some of the key are mapped incorrectly although.

Repeat Key
I have checked the key code and wave form sent out from the slingbox IR widget by IRscrope. I can see there are two pulse sending out and the Misc intem is showing "+1 copy: T=0" while the key sending from my remote is showing "no repeat: T=0".

Incorrect OBC code
I discover some of the key is mapped to another key unexpectly. For example the "right" key is mapped as "4" the send out OBC code captured on IRscrope is 19 rather than 83. I have double checked the key mapping on the RM IR software and the OBC key for right is confirmed to be 83. The only thing I do before generating the bin file is to change the target remote type from comcast to slingbox remote. The only working bin for my slingbox is Y2000_RV.bin other bin file is either not supported for my device when I uploda it to the sling box portal.

My description may be confusing. I am attaching the screen shot on my PC for the IR scope and RMIR.

I am puzzle on this, any help will be appreciated.

Ken

I am unsure what went wrong.
I am using an alpha version of RemoteMaster, so maybe it is incompatible.

Try Y2002.bin and see if this works.
