tv/vid question

I know that the tv/vid in my Old Emerson TV(code 0180) lacks discrete code for selecting vid2 (P2 as it shows in my tv). Is there a way around so I can program a macro to turn all devices and the tv selects vid2 directly with out having to toggle the button? the toggle really creates a mess when trying to create an all on and the an all off device macros.
I have a URC-8910 remote.

Many TVs will automatically switch to TV mode if you press the CH+ or CH- buttons. If yours does this too, you can use this feature to sync your macros (ie, CH+, TV/VCR, TV/VCR will put the TV in VID2 mode).

unfortunately the TV will stay in Vid mode if i press the CH+ or Ch- buttons, so nothing happened, but it will go to a specific channel if I press number buttons. Maybe I can add a specific channel in the macro where it will start all the time, that way it will always starts in that channel and then move to TV/VCR.
