In all the instructions I have read for using IR or RM it says to download the lasest version of the RDF files "in the tools section".

My question is this a universal file or is it specific to the remote your have? All so it the file a .TXT file or something else?

Thanks so much - I am trying to program a on Panasonic ShowStopper 2000 (ReplayTV) remote with the "3 minute Skip button"

It is a ZIP file that contains the RDFs of all the supported remotes.
Each remote has it's own RDF file. Each RDF is a text file with the .rdf extension. It contains all the information about the remote that IR and RM need to know in order to do what they do.

BTW, to get to the "Tools section" follow the File Section link near the top of this page, then scroll down and click on the Tools link, then click the Main link.

The current version of the RDFs is called RDF files required for RM and IR - Version 1.24.

Also, you don't want just one RDF. You want all of them, so that when you download an upgrade that uses a remote other than the one you have, RM will know how to open it, and then you can switch the remote to the one you actually have.

Is the file your talking about "devices_dev.zip"? ON EDIT: - never mind, I see that the file I mentioned is a excel file.

I just need to be pointed to the place to download the RDF file for the old SHowstopper remote.

Thanks
