Just FYI, TAPE/0087 on the RCU810 is TAPE/0070 for older OFA remotes (including the Outlaw Audio remote), and this setup code is also NEC1 184.

Here are the OBC codes for the working buttons from TAPE/0070:

OBC Function
154 vol down
155 vol up
156 mute
157 power

And the codes that you found yourself:

145 Tuner
146 CD
148 Tape
150 Video A

So, all the OBCs that we know work come from the range 145 thru 157. Therefore, I would suggest that you try all the missing OBCs from 140 to 159 to see if they do anything. Then, if you still haven't found all of the functions that you're looking for, I would test the range 128 thru 139. If there are still some functions missing, I would try 160 thru 255 and then 0 thru 127.

To test these OBCs, all you need to do is create an upgrade using KM or RM, assign the OBCs values to the default function names and then make sure that the functions are assigned to buttons. You should save the KM or RM file so that when you determine that the code on the (let's say) REWIND button performs the "Bypass Surround" function, you can go back to the file to see which code that was.

Just for reference, here are the OBCs for the transport keys from TAPE/0070 (which I assume don't work):

217 play
218 rewind
219 fast fwd
220 pause
221 stop
222 record

I assume the codes you posted are EFCs rather than OBCs, is that right?

I have created a KM upgrade file based on those codes here...
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=2215

and I have added them to the Kenwood master list here...
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... ile_id=437

If you look at the master list, you'll notice that you do have several functions in common with other devices on that list. Therefore, you might want to try some of the other codes listed to see if any of them also work.

hi Robman,

yeah they are EFC's,

i will do some testing and tell you about the master list.

also i found that

146 is for CD and also 127 works as well, i found lot of keys like that as i did the EFC search form 000 to 255

also some codes make the AMP to reset it self.

any ida how is that ?

Are you using the SETUP+nnn method? If so, you're doing alot of hard work. All you need to do is create dummy upgrades with all the OBCs listed then test the buttons.

Several devices have codes that reset them, if you have found the code for this device, please list it so others can be warned (and mention what it does exactly).
