1. Device: Dishnetwork 942 DVR
2. Type of device: Satellite DVR
3. JP1 Remote model: 8810w
4. JP1 user? yes
5. Still have original remote? yes
6. Checked the file section? Yes, I've tried some of the 508, 721, and 921 files but they don't seem to work.
7. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? yes
8. Partially working setup code? no
9. Learning remote question? I've learned the codes and tried modifying the 921 file by Pbrown but it doesn't work. The learned codes work. It's been a while (over a year) since I've used RM and IR so I'm a little rusty. It may be a problem of using combined device codes but I thought I'd try to find out if anyone has already programmed a 8810w for a 942 or could recommend a file to start from before I put any more hours into this. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Sterling

If you have learned the codes already, post your IR file in the Diagnosis Area so we can verify whether they match the Dishnetwork upgrade files in the file section.

I found a file on my HD that didn't completely match any of the files, so I overlaid that file with the one from my HD.
The trick is to use the Combo version of the protocol, which this file does.

Thanks, that did the trick!
Now I need to figure out to get the SP tab to show up in IR 6.15 using my old file. I'll be posting a question in the software section.
