I think this happened when I upgraded to a new version of Java (as required by Hal's CaptureIR program). I'm not sure of that and don't have a good way to test to verify it.

The functions sheet in RM is messed up. Maybe just column widths (they're messed up enough I can't tell what else is).

I don't remember if I was ever able to adjust column widths other than the Name colum. The cursor changes as if you could, but then you can't.

I had "Windows" look and feel selected. It was working before. Now it has unusably narrow column widths except for Name and Notes. Since I can't change column, I can't use it.

I tried other look and feel settings. "Metal" and "Windows Clasic" seem to be selecting a slightly smaller font so that the narrow column widths are workable. "CDE Motif" is nearly as bad as "Windows".

Hmm. I think I'm using the new version of Java.
java -version shows Note that I am still compiling with JDK 1.4.2_08, however.

I'm not having any problems with the column widths. I'll put up a change later today that'll allow more adjustment of the column widths.

Same Java version. I'll wait for those changes rather than try to dig into the code myself today.

I'm running on a triple monitor system, so my screen is 5760x1440 pixels. A few programs get confused by that extreme of desktop size and miscompute values they need for their own window metrics. I don't know if that's a factor.

At some point I'd like to figure out how to get RM to use a slightly larger font. I like the fact that high resolution and small default fonts let me get lots on info on screen at once. But some programs are harder to see than others at that tiny font size. Most programs that are hard to use that way include some font choice or magnification option. RM is one of very few that are hard to use with tiny fonts for which I don't know how to change the fonts.
