I have a 320 (next model up) and it just uses the standard Sony receiver code 0158. I noticed however that my 8910 does not include that code but has 1058 (and a couple of similar ones). Have you tried that one?
There is an upgrade in the file section for a combined 0158 and 0159 here which would be a good starting point. If 1058, 1158, or 1258 don't work then you would need to add an upgrade device. Without a JP1 cable I think you would have to create a wav file using various tools or call UEI for a phone upgrade.
If none of that makes any sense then you may have some reading to do, otherwise it should be a built-in code or a simple upgrade. This assumes the 220 had a remote. (I have a service manual at the shop but I'm off for a week - vacation) Look for the IR symbol on the front, center, in a box to verify.

Just call me Zaphod (or Steve) --- I never should have started using numbers in a screen name but I just can't stop now.

In this case it's irrelevant (see Steve's post above) but you left the most important question blank. If we don't know whether you're a JP1 user or not, we don't know how to approach answering you.bercy46 wrote:4. JP1 user?
