Hi - I've spent a few hours with a JP1 cable trying to get my dec-2000t remote going, here's the issue...
It's RC-5, but the original remote appears to be alternating between codes (T=0/T=1) every time you press a button. I can't seem to get the OFA remote to do this.
Any ideas?
thanks
Andrew

What is the partially working setup code you are using?
How are you trying to control the device? Are you using the learned signals, building a device upgrade, or using keymoves?
Post your IR file and device upgrades in the diagnosis area and someone can take a look.

I went to Yahoo, and found SAT-1294 for Hauppauge, which did absolutely nothing right. I've overridden all the buttons with learned signals.

Learned signals.

I'll try to do this. - I take it there's not a simple way to get the remote to use the toggle bit? I'm assuming that's all that I need to get it to do.[/quote]

Learned signals can't be used to control devices that use toggle bits. A device upgrade could do it.
WHen you say
Does the device not respond at all, or are the functions just on the wrong buttons?
If it's just a case of having the wrong functions on buttons, you probably forgot to switch the remote in KM/RM before installing the upgrade into your remote. Otherwise, build your own upgrade using the signals you've learned.
You can learn how to do that in JP1 - Just How Easy Is It?, or JP1 - Just How Easy Is It? for RM Users.

If your upgrade is different to the one in the file section, be sure to load your version into the file section so others can use it.
