Does anybody know the code for directtv d10? I'm using a 8910

I am taking it that you are jp1 user from where this post is. Upgrade for that unit is
here
The code is 1377 But it will not be in your remote.

So I need an upgrade. I guess I'm going to have to buy this cable.

Yes. I think jp1 cable is must have for anyone with jp1 remote. Without it you will find yourself having to use the original remote often.
While waiting on the cable read as much here as you can digest. The sticky beginners read this thread first is best place to start.

Getting the cable is a good idea. It is useful for a lot more than just installing that upgrade and it makes installing the upgrade easier. But the 8910 can have upgrades installed by .wav file. So you can use the same free software needed to install via cable and instead create a .wav file to install via your PC's speakers (no purchases required, but harder to do than via JP1 cable).
