1. Device: Qwestar QS100
2. Type of device: DVD
3. JP1 Remote model: 15-1994
4. JP1 user? Yes
5. Still have original remote? Yes
6. Checked the file section? Yes
7. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
8. Partially working setup code? No
9. Learning remote question? 15-1994 cannot learn this device/remote
I have tried most everything I can think of, like a lot of google searches. But, I cannot seem to find anything. Also, I have no idea where this DVD player was purchased.
Any ideas?...
BTW, I had the same learning problem with my SIMA SVS-4D A\V Switch. Luckily, jim_henry_esq submitted a file for it. Maybe he can clue me in on how he did the SIMA SVS-4D?...
Any help appreciated....
Thanks

Are you able to learn from any original remote? (I'm wondering if you're doing the learning process wrong or if your 1994 has its learning electronics broken).
What happens when you try to learn? The 15-1994 give the long blink instead of double blink, showing that it failed to learn? Or it gave the double blink, but the learned signal didn't work.
If a signal was learned but didn't work, we probably can figure it out from the .ir file (uploade to the Diagnosis Area)

I'm wondering the same thing because the Sima uses the NEC1 protocol which is the easiest protocol around to learn.johnsfine wrote:Are you able to learn from any original remote? (I'm wondering if you're doing the learning process wrong or if your 1994 has its learning electronics broken).
