JP1 Remotes

How I can program a button hold function in a macro. To turn on/off my TV - Panasonic TX-32PS11P I need to hold a power button, but how to program this in a macro key?

The last function entered in a macro will hold/repeat as long as you hold the button just like a normal button.

If it is in the beginning or middle etc. it will only send the command once.

Thank you Nils, but ... it's not work. May be I have to clarify more the situation. I have a URC 9960 B01 already programed for all my Home Theatre (Yamaha RX-650, above mentioned TV Panasonic, DVD/VCR combo - Toshiba SD-34VL and Philips DV Sat box). Even when I record a macro (on the power button) with the last comand "power TV", the URC 9960 send only one command per each button. In fact I'm new in JP1 but if there another way to resolve this problem, I will try.

I think this is true only with the extender. Using the extender is the way to go if you want this behavior.

You may want to try the duration control feature in the Device Combiner (in RM/KM) if you just wanted to make duration of a particular signal a little longer.

I realized there's no extender or the device combiner support for URC-9960B01 yet. I don't know if someone is going to write the extender for this remote, but you can try the DC with the RDF I've just posted (untested).

And what will hapend if I try to install the extender for URC-9960 on my remte? Is it dangerous?

Extenders are very picky about having exactly the right model of the remote's internal electronics. I expect Hal knows the status of 9960 extenders. so if he says there isn't one for your model, testing is a waste of time.

It isn't very dangerous.

Most likely it would make the remote lock up.

After the remote locks up, the easiest way to regain control is to do a JP1 upload of a saved image of your eeprom from before you installed the extender. That might not clear out everything wrong in the remote's registers, but it would get you enough control to be able to do a 981 reset. Once you can do a 981 reset, that will fix anything that trying an incompatible extender messed up.
