I have a Panasonic DVD-A320 and a Technics SA-AX730 receiver that I would like to find the codes for. These seem to be supported by my RCU810 and OFA8811 without difficulty.

1. Device: Panasonic DVD-A320
2. Type of device: DVD player
3. Remote model: RCU810 & OFA8811
4. JP1 user? Yes
5. Still have original remote? No
6. Checked Yahoo file section? Yes
7. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes (found something)

For the Panasonic DVD you should try any of the existing upgrades, even if they are not for your exact model. Panasonic pretty much uses the same codes for all their DVD players. The built in DVD/0490 code should also work. (This code is called DVD/0507 in the RCU810).

For the Technics, as you have the original remote, you should just learn the signals and see what they are, then use this info to build your own upgrade. Just FYI, Technics uses the same signals as Panasonic receivers, so you should take a look at the Panasonic files in the Audio and HT Systems folders. Also check out the master spreadsheet that Elizabeth Deal put together.

Thanks Rob, I've done some learned code for the Technics and am busily learning how to use the tools so I can use it. The DVD code I found and compared with something I extracted from a pronto file, and am comfortable with that.

I think I'll need to use an extender, as I will run out of memory quickly.
