Hello,
I'm having a problem using ToadTog with my RS2116 Ext.2 and IR6RC3 when using the Spcl Prot Funs tab.
I'm using toggles to track modes. When I execute a macro to setup an A/V mode, such as DVD viewing mode, TV viewing mode, or Tuner listening mode, I set that toggle to on, and the others to off. The toggles allow me to switch between receiver zone1, receiver zone2 and receiver zone1 and zone2 combined, by using nested mini-macros on the fav/scan button. For example, if I want to send my audio signal to zone 2, I use the following logic:
IF TV tog on, THEN switch receiver zone2 source to TV and stop,
ELSE check DVD tog, don't change tog state.
IF DVD tog on, THEN switch receiver zone2 source to DVD and stop,
ELSE check Tuner tog, don't change tog state.
etc.
I use similar logic, separated by Pauses, for the combined zones and to
go back to zone1.
Here's the issue. The Spcl Prot Funs tab won't let me setup a toggle with nothing sent (e.g. $98 to force toggle 1 on, but do nothing else). It keeps asking for a macro key. But when I remove the [SpecialProtocols] section from the rdf, I can do what I want using the Key Moves tab (sort of - it says "[Already On]: [Off/On]: <error>" in the Function column).
I've been using this logic successfully for a year now. I set it up originally with RC401. I like the Spcl Prot Funs tab, but I'd like to keep doing what I've described. Can this be fixed? Also, if you have a better way of accomplishing the same task, I'm all ears.
Nice job on all the enhancements, folks.

IR6RC3 problem with ToadTog
I hope Mark read far enough to see that.ek2116 wrote:Here's the issue. The Spcl Prot Funs tab won't let me setup a toggle with nothing sent (e.g. $98 to force toggle 1 on, but do

In future, try not to bury the important part of your post under a bunch of details that we'll have trouble understanding and don't really need to.
From the title and first half of your post I couldn't even guess which expert you need help from. Then it turns out you have the good enough understanding of the issue shown by the statement I quoted.

Re: Wrist Slapped Received.
I didn't mean to slap any wrists. I was just trying to improve the visibility of the issue for Mark (or whoever else might offer real help) and to offer helpful advice for future posts.ek2116 wrote:Ouch. Sorry.
