I have a haier tv and I learned most of the codes with a 15-1994. I saw that the code was aiwa device 28. i put that info in remote master and filled out the efc's on the functions page. I pasted it to IR and uploaded it and nothing works. What have I done wrong. This is my first try. The link is to the remote master and IR files. Thanks

Click the link and download the only file on the page. It is a zip with the IR and KM files I made.

Thanks

OK, I see it, I just replaced your URL with one linking directly to the zip file. If you look at the learned signals you'll see that in addition to the 28 device code there's a sub device code of 1. KM doesn't let you specify the device and sub-device codes seperately, so you'll need to combine them. To do this, multiply the sub-device code by 256 and then add it to the device code, giving you a new device code of 284.

Just FYI, this matches TV/0768, which is in newer remotes like the URC-6131.

In RemoteMaster and DecodeIR the nonCombo version of Aiwa uses the same split as the Combo version.

In KM the Combo version is split the same as in RM (if you know that "Parameter" = "Subdevice" and "byte2" = "device") but the nonCombo version of Aiwa doesn't split device from subdevice at all.

That behavior of RM and DecodeIR was chosen because the decoder can't know whether you will need the Combo version or not. That behavior of KM was chosen because it was done first, probably before the combo was understood.

Thank you
