URC-9960 hiding or showing buttons configurable?

I was wondering if it was possible to program the URC-9960 so that I could actually stop certain buttons from showing or vice versa?
By showing I mean being highlighted when the remote is on.
For example in the AUX mode I would like to hide all buttons but the power and the channel buttons.
Thank you.

In all of the Kameleon models, the button display is controlled by the hardware and cannot be modified via JP1.

Just as I thought. Well, thank you anyway.

If it helps any, with the extender you can atleast choose which screen (within the device) is displayed when you hit the device button. As a matter of fact you can put a macro on any button to go to the screen you like within the device. However, you are still restricted to the pre defined screens within the device and can not select screens from a different device. In other words, for example, you can not select a TV screen in DVD mode.

I was reading the readme.txt for the 9960 extender (URC9960_Extender_2) when I saw the comment below. That's why I thought that maybe it was possible somehow...
The 9960 illuminates sets of the keys that are available in the current device mode and animates the device key corresponding to the current device index.
In this extender, the O_ device selection commands decide what keys to illuminate and to animate. You can put a macro that includes an O_ command on any button, however, the remote animates the device key which corresponds to the O_ device index instead of the key that has the macro. The only exception to this is the HT key. For HT you must have an O_ in the HT macro on the HT button
