This may sound stupid, but I have a Panasonic PV-D4752 VCR/DVD combo unit. The original remote sends out a command when the VCR button or DVD button is pressed to tell it which unit the remote is talking to.
I know that i can program an extra key to send this code but I would like to be able to have the remote send out this command when i press the VCR or DVD button.
Also on the RS 15-2138 Kameleon 8-in-0ne is there a way to determine which of the keypad displays are avaliable to the devices. For example I would like to have all 42 keys accessable for my VCR, DVD etc.
I have tried to setup the VCR as a Cable TYPE using the IR.exe program but after I upload it to the remote, It works for a few seconds, then reverts back to just a few default keys.
I would like to have the 'P' key active so that I can use shift keys.

The only way to get the device buttons to send a signal is to load the extender for the remote in question, if one is available. There is an extender for the 15-2133 but not the 15-2138.
