Help with a macro

Hi:
I have a URC 8811 and I'm using it with my receiver TEAC AG-V8080, Sony TV and Samsung DVD. In the receiver's original remote you can Power ON with the power button and with any device button but you can only Power off with the Power button.
With "M1" I want to turn ON the receiver, change it to VCR1 (where my DVD is connected) turn ON the TV, go to an specific channel, press TV/VCR and finally Power ON the DVD.
Also with the same "M1" Power Off all these components.
I recorded the macro and it works fine when I try to power ON all the components but when I try to turn them OFF there's a problem with the receiver because when the Power signal reaches the receiver it turns it OFF but when it changes to VCR1, Power goes ON again because of the explanation I made at the beginning of this email.
Any suggestions?

(I'm a newbie, but...) I think that since your receiver is setup to turn on when you press the VCR1 button, its not gonna work.

Only thing you could maybe do was program Shift-M1 to be power off. Or setup the Long/Double Key Press as Power off.

Thanks for your reply Steve.
How can I program Shift-M1 or Long/Double Key Press as Power off?
I'm just beginning to use IR and KM.

Thanks

To create Shift-M1 simply check the box in the macro dialog for Shift.

Thank you for your reply Paul. Once I´ve check the box in the macro dialog for Shift, which is the "Shift" key in the URC?

Thanks

The Set Key becomes the shift. So you execute the macro by pressing set and M1 or what ever key you've assigned. Remember than when using IR any key (with the exeception of device keys) can have a macro on it.

I like to set up my power ON macros by using Shift+DVD for instance.
