Did not receive responce (ackknowledgement) from the remote after sending data. (ErrNo=5, Param=1845)

I tried reprogramming the remote for my other Replay 5040 when I realized I forgot 2 of the buttons. Thats when the errors started popping up.

I've replaced the batteries, done a hard reset (Set + 9-8-1), clean upper memory, purge memory. Nothing seems to be working.

After I do the reset, I download from the remote and the same programming is still in there.

Anyone know whats going on with the remote???

You're symptoms lead me to believe you haven't really done a hard reset. Can you confirm that you did this...

1) Hold SET down, wait for 2 flashes
2) Type 981, get 4 flashes.

Taken literaly, SET + 981 would mearly send advanced code "981"

Thats what I got. Hold down set, got 2 flashes. Type in 981 and got 4 flashes. After that was done, IR would download the remote and it was like it was when I first bought it.

OK, so what's the problem then? What did you do next?

Created a new device code dealy in IR using KMM. Both of them are up to date. Save the file, and try and upload. The remote blinks twice like it got the upgrade alright, but then IR comes back and gives me the error. The remote doesn't do anything to the devices either.

If you're doing the upload with the batteries in the remote, try it again with them out. Or, if you had the batteries out, try it again with them in.

Done it both ways and still the same problem.

Ok, figured it out. I had a process running for my MultiPass printer that I wasn't aware of. Canceled that and everything is working good now.
